ROOT CANAL TREATMENT

During root canal or endodontic treatment, the inflamed or infected pulp is removed and the inside of the tooth is carefully cleaned and disinfected, then filled and sealed with a rubber-like material called gutta-percha. Afterwards, the tooth is restored with a crown or filling for protection.

COSMETIC DENTISTRY

Cosmetic dentistry. Cosmetic dentistry is generally used to refer to any dental work that improves the appearance (though not necessarily the functionality) of teeth, gums and/or bite. It primarily focuses on improvement dental aesthetics in color, position, shape, size, alignment and overall smile appearance.

FIXED CROWN AND BRIDGES

Both crowns and most bridges are fixed prosthetic devices. Unlike removable devices such as dentures, which you can take out and clean daily, crowns and bridges are cemented onto existing teeth or implants, and can only be removed by a dentist. A crown is used to entirely cover or “cap” a damaged tooth.

COMPLETE ORAL REHABILITATION WORK

Full mouth reconstruction, rehabilitation and restoration are terms often used interchangeably to describe the process of rebuilding or simultaneously restoring all of the teeth in both the upper and lower jaws.

GUM TREATMENT AND SURGERIES

Your dentist has recommended that you see a periodontist, a dental specialist who treats periodontal disease. Periodontal disease is a bacterial infection that infects the gum tissue causing inflammation, redness, swelling and loss of bone around the teeth. It can affect one tooth or many. The National Institute of Health reports that 80 percent of adults in the United States have some form of periodontal disease.

TREATMENT OF LOOSE TEETH

Explaining the treatment of loose teeth is actually much more complicated than this brief review will allow. For this reason, it is important for you to see your dentist or a periodontist for a detailed assessment and correct diagnosis of what is causing your teeth to be loose. However, what you are experiencing sounds like the end result of periodontal (gum) disease, in which bone that normally supports the teeth (together with the periodontal ligament that attaches bone to the teeth) is progressively lost.

ULTRASONIC CLEANING

During ultrasonic dental cleaning, the dentist uses an instrument called an ultrasonic scaler, or Cavitron®. The Cavitron distributes ultrasonic vibrations to literally blast dental tartar, or dental calculus, off of your teeth.

TOOTH WHITENING

Tooth whitening lightens teeth and helps to remove stains and discoloration. Whitening is among the most popular cosmetic dental procedures because it can greatly improve how your teeth look. Most dentists perform tooth whitening. Whitening is not a one-time procedure.

GAP CLOSURE BETWEEN TEETH

A diastema is a gap between two of your teeth, and it can occur anywhere in the mouth. Generally, however, they are found between the two front teeth. According to the American Dental Association (ADA), most dental literature reports that between 1.6 and 25.4 percent of American adults suffer from a gap in this part of the mouth. And although this spot can be distressing, your dentist can help treat it over time. Dentists can specifically use teeth bonding for gaps to effectively camouflage this undesirable space.

TOOTH JEWELLERY

Innovation is the Name of Dentistry in the Modern Era and fashion is something that is much sought after in dentistry now. One of the major aspects in dentistry is Aesthetics. Patients are very sensitive about their smiles and many times visit dentists to make it better. Youngsters and many elders are also getting in to the world of Dental Fashion. They are wanting something more that treatment which will just give then an X factor. In such a times, dental jewellery is emerging big time.

REMOVABLE COMPLETE AND PARTIAL DENTURES

A removable partial denture or bridge usually consists of replacement teeth attached to a pink or gum-colored plastic base, which is sometimes connected by metal framework that holds the denture in place in the mouth. Partial dentures are used when one or more natural teeth remain in the upper or lower jaw. A fixed bridge replaces one or more teeth by placing crowns on the teeth on either side of the space and attaching artificial teeth to them. This “bridge” is then cemented into place. Not only does a partial denture fill in the spaces created by missing teeth, it prevents other teeth from changing position.

HABIT BREAKING TREATMENT

Basically, night guards treatment are orthodontic (removable) habit breaking appliance, designed for “mouth breathers”. They enable the patient to breathe normally through nostrils and prevent mouth breathing. They are custom made and usually advised for children with mouth breathing habit. Mouth breathing children are advised to place the mouth guard inside their mouth during the nights, for a few days.

WISDOM TOOTH MANAGEMENT ORAL CANCER DETECTION AND TREATMENT

Because the mouth is a region where changes can be easily seen, oral cancer can be detected in its early stages. Performing a self examination regularly will help in the early recognition and detection of oral cancer, and increase the chance for cure.

SPECIALIZED CHILD DENTISTRY

Pediatric dentists promote the dental health of children as well as serve as educational resources for parents. It is recommended by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) that a dental visit should occur within six months after the presence of the first tooth or by a child’s first birthday.

IMPLANT

A dental implant is a titanium post (like a tooth root) that is surgically positioned into the jawbone beneath the gum line that allows your dentist to mount replacement teeth or a bridge into that area. An implant doesn’t come loose like a denture can.

EXTRACTION (REMOVAL OF TEETH)

Extractions are performed for a wide variety of reasons, but most commonly to remove teeth which have become unrestorable through tooth decay, periodontal disease or dental trauma, especially when they are associated with toothache. Sometimes wisdom teeth are impacted (stuck and unable to grow normally into the mouth) and may cause recurrent infections of the gum (pericoronitis). In orthodontics if the teeth are crowded, sound teeth may be extracted (often bicuspids) to create space so the rest of the teeth can be straightened.

PROSTHETIC REPLACEMENT

Dental implants are artificial teeth that serve as replacement for missing tooth or teeth. They are placed into the jaw and may be placed to support a dental bridge. Individuals who have lost a tooth or two due to periodontal disease or trauma can greatly benefit from this prosthesis.

PERIODONTAL TREATMENT

The cause is poor oral hygiene. Untreated gingivitis can lead to tooth loss and other serious conditions. Symptoms include gums that are swollen, puffy, receding, sometimes tender or that bleed easily. Treatment involves a professional cleaning as well as oral rinses.

SCALING

Scaling and root planing, otherwise known as conventional periodontal therapy, non-surgical periodontal therapy, or deep cleaning, is the process of removing or eliminating the etiologic agents – dental plaque, its products, and calculus – which cause inflammation,[1] thus helping to establish a periodontium that is free of disease.

BLEACHING

To whiten the natural tooth shade, bleaching is suggested. It is a common procedure in cosmetic dentistry, and a number of different techniques are used by dental professionals. Many different products are also marketed for home use. Techniques include bleaching strips, bleaching pen, bleaching gel, and laser tooth whitening. Bleaching methods generally use carbamide peroxide or hydrogen peroxide.

TOOTH FILLING

A filling is a way to restore a tooth damaged by decay back to its normal function and shape. When a dentist gives you a filling, he or she first removes the decayed tooth material, cleans the affected area, and then fills the cleaned out cavity with a filling material.

ESTHETIC TREATMENT ( SMILE CORRECTION )

Cosmetic dentistry is generally used to refer to any dental work that improves the appearance (though not necessarily the funcrson’s teeth, gums and/or bite. It primarily focuses on improvement dental aesthetics in color, position, shape, size, alignment and overall smile appearance. Many dentists refer to themselves as “cosmetic dentists” regardless of their specific education, specialty, training, and experience in this field. This has been considered unethical with a predominant objective of marketing to patients.

ORTHODONTIC TREATMENT (BRACES)

Orthodontics is a specialization within the field of dentistry that requires additional training and certification. Orthodontic treatment involves correcting malocclusion, which is the misalignment of a bite or incorrect spacing between teeth. This is usually accomplished through the use of Orthodontic braces or clear aligners such as Invisalign. The cost of orthodontics can vary depending on the materials used, the treatment plan, and even location. Get more information by talking to an Invisalign Provider near you.

MAXILLO FACIAL SURGERY

Oral and maxillofacial surgery (OMS or OMFS) specializes in treating many diseases, injuries and defects in the head, neck, face, jaws and the hard and soft tissues of the oral (mouth) and maxillofacial (jaws and face) region. It is an internationally recognized surgical specialty. In some countries around the world, including the United States, India, Canada, Brazil, Australia, Sweden and Israel, it is a recognized specialty of dentistry; in others, such as the UK and most of Europe.
